Presented by the Mokena Mayors Charitable Foundation
Saturday, October 2nd Front Street 10 am to 4 pm
What could be more enjoyable on a pleasant cool October day than strolling along Front Street in Mokena and viewing the work of our local and regional artist and artisans? Each year, the show offers a variety of styles, ranging from oils, watercolors and chalks toblack and white sketches. Modern art, impressionists, abstracts, it is all there for your pleasure. Also on hand are wood and metal sculptures and jewelry craftsman. Adding to the experience is the fact that you can purchase your favorite piece or pieces to take home with you, or possibly have it delivered. Even better, if you have not found something you like, you can often commission it from you favorite artist. Part of the pleasure of the event is that you can talk to the artist themselves and observe them at work.
Best of all, the Fine Arts Show is free to visitors!
The artists attend the show each year and have developed a following so they are prepared with brochures of their work, their itineraries and contact information.
We have plenty of room for more artisans. If you would like to join us for this wonderful event, review our guidelines and fees, then print a copy of our application and send it in.
This year, we are offering a special discount for referrals! Receive $5 off your booth for each Artist you refer to us who signs up (limit 2)!
While you're on Downtown Front Street, you can also enjoy The Classic Car Show and Automobile Exhibit from (9 am to 3 pm). This one-of-a-kind show features many classic, rare, exotic and custom cars from every era.
When you're done looking at the art and cars, take one of our free trams for a short 3 minute ride over to beautiful McGovney Yunker Park and enjoy the Food and Wine Fest presented by the Mokena Chamber of Commerce (admission to the Food & Wine Fest is $25 - must be 21 to enter).
